Hello James,
My name is Kathy Taylor and I enjoy the course just fine when I have the time
to check it out as I am going to school and working.
This particular subject, Gratitude really caught my attention in that it goes
right along with my spiritual experiences and beliefs.
It is encouraging to hear someone else focus on positive instead of negative.
This is spritually motivating to me.
I have had a long struggle with negativity from others and I had to struggle to
block it out and focus on what the creator has done and be grateful for health,
friends mainly a Pastor, employment and the ability to keep bills paid.
These positive things have had to keep me going in the battle of positive vs.
negative.
Thank You,
Kathy L. Taylor

Mr. James Middleton,
Yes, of course you may use my feedback in your testimonals.
I appreciate your giving freely of your expertise with a kind a gentle spirit.
It takes a compassionate human being to help others, and especially when
offering a free course.
I could not afford this type of help at this time you are a God Send to me.

Dear James,
Just a short note to let you know I have enjoyed the course so far. Mind you I
don't get as much time as I would like to practice as I have four kids and I am
getting a business up and running that sells quality Australian Craft but I try
to get in at least fifteen / twenty minutes at a time. The only problem is I
do it just before bed and I get relaxed and focused and creativity comes forth
then I am up for another hour or so making jewellery or some other craft thing
or fixing something I couldn't get which comes out better that expected, If I
try and Ignore it I can't sleep.
I am not complaining Its great I have come up with some interesting things.
Well thanks for the course and keep up the good work.

Thank you for all the information about meditation...
Its a treat to read your
email....to know that there is good people all over the world who have come to
realize the unfathomable inner regions of
the human mind.
I`once (many years ago) entertained the thought that i knew
enough to coast
and focus on applying the many intellectial data on accompolishing all that I
could ever want. But alas
experience has taught me that the wisest ones amoung us are only touching the
surface of human potential.
I have come to believe the Naserene was right when
he said "
ALL THAT THE FATHER HAS IS YOURS" The All I have come to realize does not
pertain necessarily to tangibles but to a way of being.
I feel that meditation
(and prayer if applied rightfully) is a method of accessing our
higher, better, smarter, nature, and maybe a doorway to unimaginable beauty &
goodness...
Thank you James...
People like you are needed...maybe more than you
know.
I`m a musician...I meditate to music that takes me away on wings of the authors
world...I always
return but with a quierness of mind and peace...I dont have it all...but i`m
tremendously excited
i really think the best is yet to come..It obviousl to me that we are emersed
in and surrouned by and
are a part of a vast intelligent universe....Our part is to ride it
out,,observe, pay close attention and allow things to be as they are..things
will change...sooner or later for the better...allow..I dont know why ive
ratteled on like this ..i dont usually write about these things except inmy
journal..Just had the feeling that you wouldnt mind.....
Have a great
day...........

Good Morning James,
I have had some experience with meditation.
I am a Drug & Alcohol Counselor.
I have set through guided meditation and I have guided some of my groups
through meditation. However 2 & 1/2 years ago I was hit by a drunk driver on
my way home from facilitating a DUII group. I have not worked since. I am now
on minimal disability. I have minimal use of my left hand, unable to use it
for many things. I taught myself to use the key board one handed. I'm not
very fast at that yet. Almost every long bone in my body was broke, my right
foot was crushed, I still have a great deal of trouble with it. They removed
my spleen, my diaphragm was ruptured and collapsed left lung. I was in the
hospital in intensive care for one month, a nursing home for two months, my
mothers home in bed for another four months.
At that point my oldest son and I
got an apartment and he worked and took care of me for another year. I got out
of the wheel chair in January of 2004. I am now able to do almost everything
with a few adjustments. I drive, walk with a brace, cook, clean. I am now
raising my great niece who is 14. Thank God there was no brain damage.
Although my two sons would argue that point (ha ha). Any forgetfulness,
clumsiness, or silly things I do now I just simply blame on the air bag.
Prior
to all that I worked as a Counselor for ten years. I got into that because of
my own recovery from addiction and criminality. I worked with mostly the
criminal released from jail and prison. I also did a lot of DUII groups.
I lost track of meditating to change my life.
My focus now is becoming
financially free through the use if the Internet. I have been working at this
for nearly six months now and have not made back one single dime that I have
spent on it. I want to continue healing and have a really great income. You
see I am not married or seeing anyone now or since the accident, mostly through
lack of confidence I think.
I really believe this meditation will make a huge difference in my life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and helping me to better my life
and the healing process. I am looking forward to all of the lessons.
Thank You
Diana

Dear James,
I am Pratibha from India. I am writing to you to say
"thank you". Thank you very much for the email on how
to meditate by focussing on breath.
Your method makes it so much simpler to start on
meditation. I started to meditate by focussing on my
breath from today morning. You are right, I can't stay
focussed for more than 10 seconds. My mind wanders
continously and it is a challenge to bring it back to
focus on my breath. However, it is so much fun too.
Looking forward to read your next email and also for
your personal guidance.
thanks,
Pratibha

Hi:
I have found your teachings very interesting and useful.
I want to tell you a story
Im 33 years old.
When I was 3 to 10 years old there was a constant fenomenon going in inside
me.
I was the only son of a single mother, so I spent most of my time alone in
an apartment buiding.
When I was laying in bed I would suddenly start to hear a noise that would
go like a rumour, like the noise of a lot of people in a coctail, lots of
voices and conversations together but I could not get any particular word.
This was very calm, like a noise to make you sleep.
I would start to see the sheets of the bed around my legs that seem to be
absolutely straight, then I would start to move a finger against my leg, for
example, and the rumour/noise will become stronger and more aggressive, like
dozens of voices thretening me or some form of reprimand. And the straight
bed sheet will look like it was full of large wrinkles.
I would play slowing and making fast movement with the finger to change the
voices and the sheets.
When somebody came into the room this ended inmediatly.
I could never make this thing come at my will. And I was never afraid of
this, I thought until I was 15 that it was a normal thing everybody had.
Well, this was happened a lot, like every day till I was like 10
When I was 15, I was inside the classroom with all my classmates, in the
middle of a Math test. This fenomenon started (it's the only ocation it
happenden with other people in the room) I did the test. When we walked out
of the test the fenomenon was over but I couldn't remmenber anything from
the test. I got a 10/10 and I was a very bad math student.(I have dislexia
over numbers 4 and 7, and still have this problem some times). When I say
the test again, I could not remember any of the questions, it was like
somebody else had done it, buy it was my handwriting.
I was going to a Pscologist at that time, because I was a "problem kind" in
my fathers house and second mariage, I told the Pscologist about what
happened in the test and she said, very concerned, that it was a trait of
skizofrenia.......
Well for some reason I never saw her again.
Then I had some 10 to 20 repetitions when I was waitting for the school bus
when I was like 17.
Then I had it for the last time when I was 18 and was walking through a
park,I just felt it was coming but I could not make it stay.
Ive been trying to make this happen again but I havent been able to do it.
Nobody has ever been able to explain this to me.
My Reiki teacher told me I was in conexion with other dimentions and I have
lost this ability, but she didn't really convinced me about her theory.
Maybe this can interest you,
Plese tell me if there is something Im missing.
Thanks, and I will still be following your meditation course, I want to get
back to this.
Another thing, Im a spanish speaking (mother language) I told one of my
friends about this ecourse, he was interested but he does not speak english.
Are you interested in making some kind of aggrement with me so I can
translate your work to spanish and make a spanish version of your site? I
own the site www.go2galapagos.com and will soon start a news letter about

This is a good testimonial...
Let me share a cute story with you.
The other night my daughter and I went to our local "everything store"
We were in the aisle where the vitamins and herbs are.
They have a Blood pressure machine on this aisle.
There was a man taking his bloodpressure, while he was doing this
He was talking a mile a minute.
I told him if he would take a few deep breaths and quite his mind,
He could drop his blood pressure by 10 points.
He just sat there and took some deep breaths and took his
Blood pressure again. Sure enough, it had dropped by an amazing
10 points.
The mind is a powerful tool.
Thank you for helping people realize this.

Hi James,
I am replying to your email. I have been meditatating for about 7 years, but I
am always on the look out for tips, hence my application for your course. I use
a few methods, silva ultamind, image streaming, Dick sutphens self hypnosis and
Dr. Wayne Dyer's literature. I had some major results like giving up a 40 a day
smoking habit and quitting smoking the other stuff.
I applied to for your
course, simply because I wanted to hear someone else's thoughts on the
brilliant pass time of meditation.
I am hoping that maybe some words that you write will allow further access to
something deeper than I already experience. Obviously from the above you can
see I am not a novice, I'm just curious to see what you have to say, so please
keep these emails coming.
Thanks for taking the time to read my email and I hope you write back soon.

Hi James
of course you may use my comments.
Just to let you know I have saved all the emails so that I can review them
again.
I think that perhaps the course was 'backwards' for me. I find it
incredibly difficult to do nothing or quiet my thoughts, so trying to start
with exercises that aim to do that makes it difficult for me. But the later
exercises which involved visualisation are much more appealing and 'do-able'
and tend to re-energise me. So I thought I might try and start with the
visualisations and work backwards to the 'not thinking of anything' stage.
Thanks again for your support

Hi James,
I am enjoying your ecourse and have greatly lowered
my stress levels.
My question is how do I keep my mind from wandering
all over the place when I'm trying to focus? My visualization
skills need improving too. I have trouble visualizing with all
my senses, just speaking my goals.
I am having trouble eliminating distractions since the TV
is always on and my boyfriend doesn't believe in this
'stuff.' The only time I find to work on this is while I'm
driving to work for 20 minutes each way, and before I
get up in the morning and before I go to sleep at night.
(if I don't fall asleep in the middle.)
My goal is to pay off my huge credit card debt and
work at home successfully. My main affirmation is:
"I am debt-free and successfully working at home."
In the meantime, I will continue to work with this
course and enjoy what I can do.

James,
I love this idea of mindful meditation of a meal!
It is such a great idea.
I have a question for you that I hope you can
answer for me.
I drive about 22 miles to work (44 round trip) and
I often arrive at work or home and realize that I
don't remember the trip. If I struggle, I can usually
recreate the entire trip so I know I am driving safely
and not creating a hazard for my self or others, but
there is still the fact that I don't remember the
trip.
Some years ago, I had a very abusive supervisor
who made work "hell" for everyone who worked for him.
I would get sick to my stomach on Sunday and stay that
way till Friday afternoon caused by the stress of
dealing with him. I learned to use music to destress _
I would put a favorite tape of harp music in the
player when I left work and by the time I got home I
was relaxed but again I did not remember the trip. But
it got me through reporting to him.
Now I am no longer working for that supervisor and
while things are stressful at work they aren't that
bad. But also now I don't need the music to "zone-out"
when driving to work.
My real question is: "Is this a type of
meditation?"
Thanks,
Paul

I just wanted to say that I enjoy your "lessons" and suggestions. I find them
very helpful. I used to meditate on daily basis (I read "Silva's mind contro"l

Then my life became very hectic as I moved to the US to go to school. I feel
like I cannot get myself to the point of that inner peace and I would really
like that. I am currently trying to quit smoking. One thing that I regret in my
life is ever starting smoking because it is so hard to quit. I am struggling. I
consider myself a very stubborn person, however, it is hard for some reason to
be that stubborn about quitting..
I am not giving up and I know that meditation
could do the trick for me. I just feel like I need some quidence. Do you have
any suggestions?

I am doing the meditations, not as often as I would like to... BUT I am still
having trouble concentrating, I am a very energetic person, and a lot of my
friends tell me I have two speeds, FAST and FASTER: Its very hard for me to
JUST RELAX and let my mind let go of thoughts... IS there a trick to this :) ?
I
close my bedroom door, lay quietly on my bed and close my eyes, all of a
sudden I see what I should be doing instead of WHAT I WANT TO DO and that is
clear
my mind and just MEDITATE...
OK, l first of all, the letters on meditating
that I have found extremely helpful it opens my mind to what I should be doing
to get over hurts and sorrows, so PLEASE do not feel they are not helpful...
Its just that I get so bent out of shape when I cant clear my mind, and NO One
can meditate if they keep telling themselves, NOW STOP THINKING of this and
that and JUST CLEAR your mind... Its almost like fighting with myself. I just
wanted to drop you (MORE THEN A LINE :) to let you know that your words have
helped all I need is lessons on how to clear ones mind...
THANK YOU FOR BEING

Hi James:
I want to tell you an experience I had.
Some year ago, a book from LAURA TUAN run into me.
The title was: How to develop the extraordinary powers of your mind.
Now.
Before I had the book, while I was at college, I started to to this
exercise, I had no knowledge about meditation.
I would lie down in bed, before going to sleep.
I would close my eyes and start feeling tension on the muscles and tendons
of my toes, I would then relax them, then I would go up my legs, hips,
abdomen, etc, doing the same thing.
Some parts of the body will become tense again, and I would work to relax
then again.
Finally I ended in the eyes, and felt they were tightly closed, like all the
tension concentrated on the eyes.
I would relax the eyes and inmediatly fell asleep.
In the book from LAURA TUAN I found this exercise, exactly as I told you.
My question is:
Is there a chance that I Knew this technic naturaly just because its part of
human nature or maybe it comes from another life.
Do you have an explanation for this? What do you think about this method of
concentration/meditation? Was I getting into meditation state or falling
into sleep?
What is the difference-conection between deep meditation and sleep.
Thanks form your emails, they have helped me a lot.

Hi Cathy,
Thanks for the feedback.
It sounds like you are missing a CRUCIAL part of the teachings I am
attempting to impart ;-)
Meditation is NOT about clearing the mind. This is so important - I'll say
it again;
"Meditation is NOT about clearing the mind" or indeed attempting to clear it.
Meditation is about focusing and harnessing the mind by concentrating on
something.
My course has lots of exercises to help you do this, much more easily than
you might - say if you just tried one technique.
The point is - as you become more experienced at holding your concentration
- your concentration becomes more "one pointed" and less scattered. Then
the mind becomes
quieter - but you have not "Cleared the mind" - the mind has "Cleared
itself" -- do you see the difference? WOW, YES I DO SEE THE DIFFERENCE, no
wonder I was having a rough time, SO tonight I will start doing it the right
way... THANK YOU so much, you don't realize how much I NEED THIS and YOU... :)
I hope this helps and keep up the excellent practice.
Would you mind if I used some of your comments

Dear Dr. Middleton,
I wish to let you know that I've been following the
lessons quite truly well even if I'd been a little
quiet all these weeks. I'd promised myself to drop in
a few lines for you, although I couldn't exactly tell
when. I do hope you'd understand people like myself.
I live and work over in the Philippines and I'd like
to tell you that some people here are really just
interested in meditation and other esoteric sciences
sometimes turning to eastern philosophies to try to
find them. There are also local shamans who practice
some form of mentalism to try to achieve some magical
effect.
I have actually been into meditation for sometime now
and I've made some exciting discovery that "mentalism"
or "magick" as well as allied sciences aren't
unnatural things but are as natural as our bodies and
brains. Furthermore, that the answers are not to be
found in some nebulous worlds up in space but right
here within each and every one of us. At this point, I
can even recall your earlier words, saying, that
meditation on the breath is a good way to start, but
it is actually something more. . .
I'd like to thank you for the lessons particularly on
the meditation on the throat chakra as well as the
grounding exercise. You've truly been a friend.
Thanks again!

Hi, James,
The lessons are great.
I have used Benjamin Bibb's technique before
(visualizing where and what the problem is) and then instructing the mind to
send light of different colours, e.g. blue or aqua for pain relief, green for
regrowth of blood vessels, etc.
Your lesson is a different, but equally
effective way of dealing with pain.
I can usually give myself good relief of
pain anywhere in the body, except when it comes to migraine headaches (the bane
of my life). Then, its almost impossible for me to think, or do anything.
Guess I'll just have to keep on trying, right?

James, I have some suggestions which I have used to help me deal with sinus headaches. You might want to pass these onto others.
What I do is visualize a tube in my head that is clamped shut. Then I visualize the tube opening up and letting
the pain gush out in a torrent, either out through my ear or my nose, or the side of my skull.
It usually works pretty well.
Another useful technique is picturing a knot of rope in my skull that someone is untying.
When I do this particular exercise I literally feel the tension leaving my head.
I'll bet this would work for any type of pain in any body part.

Hi James,
Since you asked, my attempts at meditation are not really successful. I can say
that I try everyday, but I cannot get even one minute without my mind wandering
about. Is that normal?
I tried the leaf exercise (with a flower in my garden in fact, sitting close to
it, because I don't like to cut living things). It is very interesting, but my
mind gets into it such as saying "well the colour is like this, and the petals
structure, etc", and then it wanders again. I can say that meditation is a hard
job! Not really appealing at that point.
There is something though, when I manage to get 20 seconds silence from my
brain, there is an interesting quietness. But then it starts working and
working again on things that are not even interesting to think about!
That's it!
Thank you for your course.
I'll continue to practice anyway. But when a person
has a very much undisciplined mind like me, is it really possible to learn
meditation?

Hi, James,
This visualization is very familiar to me!.
In the past, I have used it to help people who had minor ailments, like
bronchitis or 'flu (including my own kids). In fact, I have also used it to
diagnose what was wrong with one of my pet cats (he had a severe kidney
ailment), which the vet confirmed, and a pet frog!
For some reason, it has always been easier for me to visualize other people
internally, rather than myself.
You are right when you say it will exercise your imagination, because if you
think of it as "real", your "logical" brain will interfere in the process.
So, my struggle is to visualize myself; with others, I'm usually guided to
where the problem is.
I guess I know what my lifepath is; I'm just not sure what kind of healing I'm
supposed to be doing.

Hi James,
Your words are helpful and I'll check out the resources you've
recommended.
I have been using affirmations for a month or so now, with regards to this
situation as well as other things in my life. I'm hopeful they'll help.
When I allow myself to have some distance from my thoughts and I'm in a
relaxed and happy space the same answer seems to come to me: be patient
because we're meant to be together. My mind has played tricks on me before
though so I'm cautious about where that message is actually coming from. I
do agree with you that if I can't have what I want then something better
will present itself. It's strange that nothing better has come along in
all this time and that this particular dream just won't go away. We'll see...
Thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts. It's very kind of you
and greatly appreciated.
